Bracket Challenge Game
UX Direction • Design Direction
The CapOne NCAA March Madness Bracket Challenge game is the official NCAA bracket picking game that opens on Selection Sunday and closes with the tip off of the first game. There's a very short window of opportunity to onboard players and get them to complete their brackets, so the user experience and marketing campaign are critical to the success of the game. I worked with a UX designer and a web designer, providing both the UX direction and design direction for the project.
Tournament Run
NCAA March Madness Tournament Run is a highly successful picks game that dovetails into the Bracket Challenge Game (BCG). Since game play in BCG ends as soon as the tournament begins, Tournament Run gives fans another opportunity to score points and enjoy March Madness-related games. I worked with a UX designer and a web designer to craft the game play and look of the game. The final design had to work as a desktop site, a mobile site, and as an iFramed game within the larger March Madness iOS and Android apps. The project was concepted, wireframed, and designed within 2 weeks during one of our busiest seasons of the year.
